Monday - Meet at the Bellingham Heritage Centre for lunch in one of the old railway carriages. After lunch we will have a wander round the centre which tells the stories of the people in North Tyne and Rede Valleys
2nd - 6th December
Tuesday - From Georgian times right the way through to the 1950s, be immersed in an enchanting Christmas through time at Beamish. Experience Beamish’s first 1950s Christmas in our new welfare hall. Enjoy festive games, crafts and music, and be sure to practise for the upcoming pantomime with the amateur dramatics society.
Wednesday - Christmas Festivities :- Time to relax and see what presents Santa has brought before being served a home-cooked traditional Christmas Lunch complete with crackers and all the trimmings. After lunch we will watch a Christmas film in front of the fire, enjoy traditional games and sing some Christmas Carols.
Thursday - We will explore Barter Books, the largest second hand book store in Europe. This charming book store is rambling and quirky with open fires, armchairs and a model train with a route around the shop. It truly is a magical place to visit!
Friday - Discover Cragside House decked in Victorian splendour, as fire crackles and festivities fill the air. Meet the Victorian cooks as they bake up delicious Christmas treats using traditional recipes. Then it's lunch at the tea rooms before we say our goodbyes and continue our journey home.
